Welcome

Design Club is an open society organised by the Engineering Department to enable Undergraduate and Postgraduates of any discipline to take part in practical engineering projects in addition to those undertaken during normal teaching. Currently the projects are being sponsored by the Department and a little external funding. It is planned to shortly launch a scheme whereby external sponsors can help fund the projects.

During the academic year 2005/2006 the club will be attempting 4/5 projects:

1. Ice Floe inspection system
2. Eco-Marathon Vehicle
3. Various Robots using the new Microprocessor
4. Various Biology projects

At present the projects are being supported by academic members of staff and a number of external bodies.
