Welcome to the Cambridge University Engineering Department web pages for young people (of all ages) interested in Engineering. Staff from the Department are involved with many activities to promote Engineering through a number of organised schemes, the 'Outreach' Programme, within the Department and privately. This web resource attempts to provide links to all these activities together with information on more general Engineering related resources.

• Schools Engineering Lecture Scheme (SELS)

  Organised lectures on Engineering topics held in schools throughout Great Britain. (Currently under construction - further information shortly)

  Information on some of the projects which members of the Department have developed for use in schools. (N.B. Not complete)

• Engineering as a Career

  Information for school pupils following Engineering as a career, applying to Universities (inc. Cambridge) and undertaking modern Apprenticeships. Also included are links to pages on how to apply for scholarships and sponsorship.

• General Engineering Information

  Links to a large number of web sites containing general information on Engineering and Technology topics. Includes a section directly related to future and past lectures held as part of the SELS and Holiday Lecture schemes.
