Lectures and Seminars

Keep up to date with developments in your particular interest, whether general or specific. You are always welcome to come to the many lectures and seminars held in the Department, ranging from highly technical, specialist topics to those of more public interest. They are listed on the engineering web site under Events and Seminars and on the talks.cam web site, where you can also find details of many other talks at the university.

Student Placements and Projects

You may remember how much you enjoyed working for a company on a specific project during your time of study. We are always on the lookout for work experiences for our students. You benefit from having young, intelligent, enthusiastic employees for a period of time; we benefit from ensuring our courses equip them thoroughly for the future; the country benefits from producing highly-skilled, practical engineers with a knowledge of the working world. If you would like to find out more about the opportunities, please visit the Department's Industrial Experience Page.

Research and Technical Expertise

If you want to collaborate on research or seek consulting advice, then please use the search engine to find an academic who specialises in your field, or contact the Research Office, who will be able to direct you to the appropriate place.
