How you can help

Engineering can change the world

True Blue Racing at CUED by Diana EddyThe Department of Engineering at Cambridge is the largest department in the University and one of the leading centres of engineering in the world. Its excellence depends on attracting staff of the highest calibre, which in turn draws first-rate students year after year, mutually strengthening our retention rates amidst increasing competition for places, jobs and salaries from abroad.

Alumni gifts can benefit Cambridge Engineering

The philanthropic pound is a unique pound. It is not political, it has no axe to grind and it is not in competition with anything. Consequently, it is perfectly positioned to do outstanding things. Investing in Cambridge Engineering, with its potential for solving some of the major issues of our day - energy resources, economic recovery, ageing population - will make a lasting contribution for society as a whole.

The alliance between visionary benefactors and scholars has always been a driving force for progress at Cambridge. Private giving is indispensible not only for safeguarding the Department's commitment to excellence in research and teaching, but also for educating the most able, regardless of need and ensuring access for the wider world to our great resources, ideas and knowledge. If you are interested in supporting developments in research and teaching in Engineering, please either contact the Engineering Research Office at research-office.cam.ac.uk or the University Development Office.
