The Arthur Shercliff Memorial Trust, which was established to promote technical visits abroad by undergraduates and graduate students, offers two scholarships valued at £1265, one to be awarded in each of the Engineering Departments of Cambridge University and Warwick University.
As in recent years, applications are particularly encouraged for technical visits relating to any aspect of sustainable development, including energy and environmental impact. However, all high quality applications will be considered. Applications from student members of the Cambridge and Warwick Departments of Engineering, containing a one-page proposal for the technical visit, together with a sealed reference from an academic staff member, should be sent to the Head of the respective Department by Friday, 1 February 2013. Please note that no late applications can be accepted. Application forms for Cambridge students are available for download from the CUED Undergraduate Teaching Website.
A short-list of applicants will be called for interview, and awards will be announced by Friday 8 March 2013.
