Division B IT Manager

The role holder is responsible for ensuring that the Division’s computer systems continue to meet the demands placed upon them by their users, and for facilitating the effective use of computers in the pursuit of the Division’s research and teaching. This is achieved by developing and maintaining stable and reliable systems and infrastructure, and by providing accessible support, advice and development for all computer-related issues in the Division.

The role holder provides expert IT assistance in the development of policy and strategy for the Division. The role holder is also responsible for helping to develop and maintain aspects of the Department’s research support infrastructure.

The role holder reports to the Head of Division B for day-to-day line management; and to the Deputy Head (Research Support) of the IT Services Division for IT policy and technical guidance.
