Engineering Applications Consultant

The role holder provides a high class internal consultancy service to staff and students covering the use of specialist Engineering applications packages, and their underlying computational techniques. These include Finite Element and Computer Aided Design software. The role holder supports the Department's teaching and provides specialist advice to staff, research students and undergraduates on the use of these packages and techniques to further their research. This requires a very high level of expertise, since many of those seeking advice have considerable expertise in the field themselves.
