This work is carried out in response to the needs of the Department, and in collaboration with the key stakeholders, usually senior academics and administrators.
The role holder is responsible for the ongoing planning, structure and development of the Department's web site: both in its function as a public-facing web presence, and in its internal uses as a means of administrative information management and as a means of delivering database-backed information services.
The role holder provides support for, and promotes the development of, the Departmental Library's electronic information services including the online catalogue and Library management systems.
The role holder is expected to provide input to the senior management of the IT Services Division relating to IT policy and strategic planning relevant to their areas of responsibility.
