Isambard Kingdom Brunel Award Lecture Silent Aircraft Initiative

Dr Reynolds has received the award for his talk 'The future of civil aviation - the approach of the silent aircraft', which looks at the issues surrounding noise pollution by aircraft and how it can be reduced.

'The Silent Aircraft Initiative is a Cambridge-MIT Institute (CMI) programme to develop concept designs and procedures for ultra-low-noise commercial aircraft', says Dr Reynolds.

The Silent Aircraft Initiative is run jointly between the University of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
