Unconventional communication: Why the Internet isn't ruining everything
Technology is making human communication look a lot different. If you think about it, the way that communication looks now is much, much different than it looked even ten years ago. But I don't think that's changing anything fundamental about the nature of human communication.

TED is known for its inspirational talks by people from all walks of life. The recent TEDx Oxbridge event included Tanya Goldhaber a PhD student in the Engineering Design Centre at the Department of Engineering within its list of outstanding speakers. Tanya's research focuses on designing accessible and inclusive communications technology. A recipient of the prestigious Marshall Scholarship, Tanya graduated from MIT in 2010 with a degree in mechanical engineering and minors in cognitive science and music.
