Professor Steve Young receives Technical Achievement Award 2004

Professor Steve Young, Head of the Information Engineering Division has been awarded one of the two 2004 Technical Achievement Awards of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. The citation Steve received for this prestigious award stated 'For his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the theory and performance of speech technology, including speech recognition, spoken language understanding, and dialog systems'.
