28 April 2008

Project Expo

Project Expo 2007
Student project displays at Project Expo 2007

Students in the Department will be exhibiting their projects to visitors from across the University and from industry on Monday 12 May.

This year the Student-Staff Joint Committee and the Engineering Society will again be holding an exhibition of projects by students in the Department. The exhibits will include Part IIB projects, UROPs, entries into international engineering competitions and hobbyist projects from individual students. The details are as follows:

Date and time: Monday 12 May 2008, 1-3pm
Venue: Lecture room 4, Department of Engineering, Trumpington Street.

All are welcome. Lunch will be provided.

Last year's event was the first time the event had been run, and was quite a success; this year the exhibition will be bigger, with more and more varied exhibitors. David Wyatt, the lead organiser of the event, said, "There are many innovative and fascinating projects taking place in the Department, both within and outside the curriculum. We hope that, by showcasing some of them at the Expo, we will not only give members of the Department a better appreciation of its activities but also share our technical pre-eminence and our enthusiasm for hands-on engineering with the wider community."
