Full Blue Racing, the Formula Student team, will be leaving to compete in the UK competition on Tuesday 14th July. Since the car launch less than one month ago, the team has been busy preparing the SAFBR09 for its first run in anger. The car will have an engine test Monday night before leaving for Silverstone for a pencilled-in shakedown on the Copse Runway.

This year sees the team better prepared for competition than ever before, despite the UK event date being 3 weeks earlier than previous competitions the team has entered, and confidence is high that the team can meet its target of 100% reliability in the dynamic events for 2009.

The event runs from Thursday 16th - Sunday 19th July, with the dynamic events (acceleration, skidpan, autocross and endurance) running over the weekend. Entry for the public is free, giving anyone close up access to the 93 cars competing this year. The team would be delighted to see supporters at anytime over the week - just look out for famous Gulf 'Blue and Orange' livery the team is sporting this year.

For those that can not attend, the team will be regularly posting on its blog to keep you up to date - http://www.fullblueracing.co.uk
