Dr Stephan Hofmann, Reader in Nanotechnology at the Department of Engineering, has been awarded the 2014 Journal of Physical Chemistry C Lectureship by the American Chemical Society (ACS).

The award honours the contributions of a young investigator who has made major impacts on the field of physical chemistry.

American Chemical Society (ACS)

The award honours the contributions of a young investigator who has made major impacts on the field of physical chemistry, in particular in the research areas of Energy Conversion and Storage, Optical and Electronic Devices, Interfaces, Nanomaterials, and Hard Matter. Dr Hofmann is being recognised for his outstanding contributions to the understanding of the growth and device integration of novel nanomaterials, including carbon nanotubes, graphene and semiconductor nanowires. He will deliver his lectureship talk at the Fall 2014 American Chemical Society national meeting.

The official announcement can be found on the ACS Publications website. For further information on Dr Hofmann’s research please visit his group’s website.
