Can you design a bridge of the future? Cambridge University Engineers challenged you to design a Age groups: 5-7, 8-11 Task: To design a foot and cycle bridge for the River Cam. There must be a clearance of 4m at the mid point of your bridge to allow boats to pass underneath. Judging: Entries will be judged by the Engineering Outreach Committee. The entries will be judged according to their aesthetics, quality of drawing and technical plausibility. The 2 winning designs will be included in the “Letters to the Future” which will be stored at the University Library until 2109. These letters will be opened during the 900th anniversary celebrations.
