This year's photography competition, open to all staff and students in the Department, is sponsored by Epson UK. Epson have donated 3 professional colour photo printers, nearly £1000 worth of prizes.
The winning photographs will feature on the Department's website, newsletter, plasma screen, posters and more.
Previous years' winners have received national and international press coverage for their winning photographs.
We are searching for an image that relates to research or teaching in the Department or engineers out in the field, which may be beautiful, fascinating, intriguing, amusing, or possibly all of these things.
We will use a very high proportion of the entries in a web gallery and throughout the website, and an exhibition in the Baker building foyer, giving acknowledgements wherever they are used.
The panel of judges include Phillip King RA Sculptor and President of the Royal Academy 1999, Roberto Cipolla Professor of Information Engineering, Dr Allan McRobie, Professor Keith Glover - Head of Department, and Philip Guildford - Director of Research.
