Hyemin Kang is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Power and Energy Conversion group of Electrical Engineering, University of Cambridge.
During his Master, He worked on the thin film growth and photo sensors by using atomic layer deposition (ALD) and other deposition techniques.
From 2012 to 2015, he joined Fairchild Semiconductor as a device design engineer and participated in the development of superjunction MOSFETs ranged of 600 ~ 900 V.
He had built special knowledge about device simulation, layout drawing, process integration, device characterization and reliability test.
In 2016, he joined prof. Udrea's group for a study of SiC superjunction power devices.
He has been focusing on the design of novel power devices, mathematical explanation and modeling, and applications with mixed-mode (device/circuit) simulation for power conversions.
