Research interests

Research focussed on understanding the ways that cement use can be optimised in concrete structures. Investigating durability properties in particular, including transportation mechanisms through porous media. This project is undertaken as part of the Tailored Infrastructure project, supervised by Professor Janet Lees in the Concrete Infrastructure Research Group. This research group sits within the wider Structures group in the Civil Engineering Department.

Teaching activity

Supervisor of Part 1A Mechanics and Structures courses (undergraduate year 1). Assistant demonstrator of Part 1A Structural Design course.

Other positions

Co-president of St Catharine's college MCR committee, 2019-2021.
