Kaveh investigated superconducting terahertz (THz) emitters and microstrip antennas during his PhD work at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, where he received Dean’s Award for Excellence in the PhD thesis, the Japanese Government Scholarship, and several travel grants and international best paper and presentation awards. Between 2013 and 2015, he was a Research Fellow at Optoelectronic Research Centre (ORC), University of Southampton, UK, where he investigated superconducting plasmonic and metamaterials. Since 2016, Kaveh is a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, UK (funded by EPSRC).
In Cambridge, he collaborates with Professor Michael Kelly, Dr. Hannah Joyce, Professor David Ritchie and Professor Charles G. Smith.
