Research interests

My project consist on the estimation of the technical limits of efficiency in energy conversion devices. The scope of the research is wide as it encompasses several different technologies which include: Electric Motors, Hot water heaters/Boilers, Internal Combustion Engines, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Fuel Cells and lighting technology. I am also working on modelling the uncertainty associated with commonly used energy statistics, especially those that refer to the end-uses of energy (lighting, heating, cooling etc.).
