Around 200 contract researchers work for the Department and we host around 200 visitors per year. Jane Luzio,
Jane Hunter and Diana Eddy process all of the paperwork associated with placing advertisements for contract research staff,
recruiting them, dispatching offers of employment, arranging Tier 2 visas, induction, probation periods, extending and ending their contracts.
They also process paperwork associated with visiting academics and embedded researchers.
Advice for new staff and visitors, including information on banks, healthcare, accommodation, taxes, and schools is available in the informal guide
