98.18 Apologies for absence

Apologies for absence were received from Ms Conaghan.

98.19 Membership of the SSJC

The committee decided to co-opt Mr Isaac Vun onto the committee as a 3rd Year Representative. Mr Vun then joined the meeting.

98.20 Minutes of the Meeting on 26 October 1998

There were no corrections to the minutes of the last meeting.

98.21 Election of Student Officers

The following people agreed to serve in the offices listed below:

	Students Secretary and Archivist	Mr Vun
	Booksale organisers	Ms James and Ms McDonald
	Editor of "Engineering at Cambridge: A Freshers Guide"	Ms Galletly
	Safety Committee Representative	Ms Hopkins
	Library Committee Representative	Mr Courtenay
	Organiser of the Best Lecturer Award	Ms Galletly

It was agreed that the student-run part of the SSJC web page should be discontinued.

98.22 Issues for the next SSJC Agenda

(a) Provision of lunch facilities for undergraduates

Would it be possible for the University Centre sandwiches to be sold to undergraduates for consumption in lecture room 4?

(b) SSJC Publicity

Each pair of year representatives for the first 3 years will come up with plans for raising the profile of the SSJC within their year.

Mr d'Angelo will be invited to the February meeting to discuss the students comments.

(d) Timing of Examples papers and examples classes in Part I.
