AIMS

Information technology (IT)is seen as having radically changed the internal operations of organisations, the structure of the markets in which they compete and both the opportunities as well as the challenges facing everyone who works in a contemporary organization. This course offers a critical assessment of these changes and of the role of technology in social and organisational change more generally.

COURSEWORK

Students will prepare presentation and report on the effects of IT in a particular industry or social domain in which they will apply the concepts discussed in the lectures.
