You may be looking at this web site because you have a general interest in Engineering but want to find out more before you make you make any specific career decisions, and in particular which type of course you follow at University. Gap Year Information

 

This section of pages contains links to information for those prospective students who have received either a conditional or firm offer of a place at CUED, but have opted, or have been advised by their college, to take a "Gap Year" or deferred entry.

The Department publishes a guide to obtaining suitable work experience which contains information to help you to try and obtain a job. You are advised to check the Departmental Industrial Experience Requirements first, so you know what you are looking for!

 

C U E D have a full time person whose role is to help deferred entrants and undergraduates find suitable Industrial Experience. For those requiring help finding specific firms to contact for Industrial Placements, you are advised to make contact with the Industrial Placement Co-ordinator.

N.B. this service is available only to those who have obtained a Conditional or Full offer of a place at a Cambridge University College.
