For the academic year 2012-2013, each student going from Cambridge to NUS will receive a Shell Engineering Exchange Scholarship to contibute to their additional costs while on exchange.
The principal on which the exchange works is that students pay normal fees at their home institution and no fees at their host institution. If, for whatever reason, your Cambridge fees are reduced while you are away, the magnitude of the Exchange Scholarship will be adjusted (not necessarily to compensate exactly).
Cambridge students will be responsible for paying for all their accommodation and living costs when they are away. There is a good chance that rooms in a hall of residence will be available. NUS is very experienced at supporting international exchange students and hosts them from all over the world.
