Financial Arrangements, Travel and Accommodation

The Exchange Programme operates under the European Union's Erasmus Framework scheme so that students at both institutions will be exempt from fees. Furthermore, a monthly grant is provided which is expected to cover additional costs associated with the exchange. The value of this has not yet been set for next year but (based on past experience) it is expected to be roughly 300€ per month.

TUM will endeavour to make 'Studentenwerk' accommodation available for Cambridge students. This provides a room in a shared house in Munich. Accommodation, travel and insurance costs will be your own responsibility but, given the monthly grant, you will almost certainly be better off financially than if you had stayed in Cambridge!
