Introduction

Adrian Wonfor is a Senior Research Associate in Cambridge University Engineering Department. He is in the Centre for Photonic Systems in the Electrical Engineering Division.

Research

Adrian's current research interests include improved energy efficiency in optical commnications systems, with particular emphasis to passive optical networks (PONs) and high performance optical switch subsystems. He also works with photonic integrated circuits using active components.

He is also investigating the production of short optical pulses in blue gallium nitride lasers.
