The
content and original design for this website was generated by Emile Colongo,
French student at the French Institute for Advanced Mechanics and visiting
student at the Design Office of the Cambridge University Engineering Department,
with the support of his supervisor, Dr. P.J.G. Long. It has been adapted for
the web by CUED's Multimedia Group.
The Reverend W. Cecil, Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge, wrote a paper in 1820 describing the workings of a hydrogen engine. This web site brings his work to life, with animations, a copy of his original paper and some historical background.
