Research interests

My current research focus is on optimal control and Bayesian inference methods for inverse problems in fluid dynamics. The algorithms under development combine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measurements of velocity fields and a field equation (Poisson, Stokes, Navier-Stokes etc.), to infer uncertain quantities, such as the viscosity of the fluid or the shape of the domain. At the same time, a regularized solution of the velocity field is obtained as the MRI signal is filtered through the model equation.
