After studying English Language & History at the Université de Bretagne Sud, I trained as a language teacher in France and in England but mainly taught on this side of the Channel, originally in secondary state schools in the south of England. I spent 10 years at Durham University where I coordinated the French Language provision in the Centre for Foreign Language Study and taught French on a wide range of courses, from beginners to post-A-level (at undergraduate and postgraduate levels). I enjoy teaching using innovative techniques and materials in class but also on-line, as e-learning is an area I constantly explore for new ideas and motivating resources. I endeavour to share and exchange with other language practitioners by attending and contributing to various conferences and workshops as well as through social networking.
