CUTEC 1st Annual Venture Capital Conference

Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC) brings entrepreneurially minded students and faculty at Cambridge together with practitioners in the field to promote knowledge exchange, and to provide opportunities to showcase new technology emerging from Cambridge laboratories.

CUTEC is run by an enterprising team of students who are hosting the First Annual Venture Capital Conference on 10th June at the Guildhall in London. The event will include:

  • Panel discussions on current developments in Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and IT;
  • Keynote speech by Paul Harvey, former MD of European Technology Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs, now co-founder of Abbey Road Ventures;
  • Speakers including Prof Sir Alec Broers (former Vice Chancellor of the University); Tim Harper, CEO of CMP Cientifica and Executive Director of the European NanoBusiness Association; Michael Wand, Director of the Carlyle Group;
  • Attendees: Over 80 business professionals, Sir Paul Judge, Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce, a founder of the Cambridge University's Judge Institute of Management, and prominent London business figure.

Subsidised tickets are available for students; see http://www.cutec.org/ for details.
