'Dambusters' short-listed for the Broadcast Awards 2012

In the category, Best Popular Factual Programme, one of the six nominees is Dr Hugh Hunt's 'Dambusters: Building The Bouncing Bomb'. Hugh was the lead engineer designing simulated bouncing 'bombs' that were constructed from scratch, then dropped by aircraft flying just 60 feet above the surface of a lake in British Columbia, Canada, to destroy a 130-feet wide dam.

The awards event takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 2 February 2012.

The programme has also been nominated at the 2012 History Makers Awards. The programme received 2 nominations in the categories of 'Best History Production' and 'Most Innovative Production' The awards take place on January 26th at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.
