Engineering events for the Science Festival

Many members of CUED are actively supporting Cambridge Science Festival this year.

Professors Nick Collings and Peter Guthrie are lecturing to the general public as part of a CMI sponsored event 'Extremely Green', at the BP Institute, Madingley Rise on Saturday 22 March.

Dr Peter Long is co-ordinating a hands-on event for the first Saturday, 15th March, 10am-4pm in the Small Exams Hall, New Museums Site:

'Fun Fliers' -an activity for all ages which involves making and flying aircraft to land on a specified target, learning a little about aerodynamics in the process.

In addition to these activities, around 200 children will be visiting the Department in the following week to attend an event with SATRO:

"Project Launch Pad"

for Key Stage 2 (aged 7-11) pupils, to find out about what engineers do and take part in various engineering related activities, including building a rocket.
