The key to their success are the enthusiastic teams of student volunteers, who help to make engineering more accessible and to provide role models for the next generation of engineers.
The format of the workshop is quite simple the families design and make their crane which is then tested to destruction! The student volunteers act as 'engineering consultants' to advise the teams on their design. The event is free to all participants. Drop in any time between 10am - 4pm and allow approximately one hour for construction.
