The ISI Essential Science Indicators have identified the paper "On sequential Monte Carlo sampling methods for Bayesian filtering" by A. Doucet, S. Godsill and C. Andrieu (Stats. and Computing, 10, pp.197-208, 2000) as a 'Fast Breaking Paper'.
This scheme identifies very recent scientific contributions that have received especially large increases in numbers of citations over bi-monthly periods. See http://esi-topics.com/fbp/fbp-june2002.html for details and an interview with the first author Arnaud Doucet.
Arnaud Doucet worked for three years as a Research Associate in the Signal Processing Group, then took up a Senior Lectureship at University of Melbourne. He returns to CUED in September as a University Lecturer.
