The Bonnie Hilditch International Librarian Award is presented by the Science,Technology and Engineering Divisions of the Special Libraries Association (SLA).  As a result of receiving this award, Niamh was able to attend the SLA Annual Conference in Vancouver, developing her awareness of issues in science and technology librarianship and learning from the experiences of international colleagues.

Niamh has managed the Department of Engineering Library and Information Service since September 2013. During this time, key projects have included raising the profile of the Library within the Department, developing support services for researchers and developing information literacy training programmes for all staff and students. She continues to have active involvement with the SLA Engineering Division in her role as Program Planner for the 2016 SLA Annual Conference in Philadelphia.
