The Department is opening its doors on 29 November 2006 to showcase the world-leading research of its Information Engineering Division.
Working in partnership with the Cambridge Network team, this event is the first in the Engineering Connections series which aims to reveal, to companies in and around Cambridge, the latest research of Cambridge University's largest department.
The event will feature a series of short presentations by senior academics to set the scene, before breaking out into a networking session. Visitors will then have the opportunity to meet the academics, PhD students and post doctoral researchers, while viewing demonstrations and posters in an exhibition area. Members of the research teams will be on hand to explain and answer questions about their work and its applications. The breakout session offers a unique opportunity to get a real feeling for the work in the Department, meet the people involved and hear about the very latest developments. The full programme of the event and a list of posters and demonstrations can be found on the Cambridge Network website.
The Department and Cambridge Network are grateful to Hermann Hauser at Amadeus Capital for inspiring and sponsoring this event.
The event will be held in the Department of Engineering on 29 November 2006 and will commence at 16:30 with registration. The event is free however you must register to attend on the Cambridge Network website.
