Biography

I am an experienced marketing and communications manager (CIM Level 7 qualified), digital marketing strategist, writer, and publishing editor. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients and employers, including technology companies, education and training providers, digital product developers, and professional services firms in Cambridge and London. Notable previous employers include PA Consulting and Arm.

I’m actively exploring and developing various business communications and marketing activities, such as writing online news articles, blogs, and LinkedIn posts (both organic and sponsored), as well as managing Facebook and Instagram pages. My work over the past decade has also involved creating promotional video scripts, designing e-learning module structures, and producing white papers and eBooks. These projects often focused on areas like ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 Compliance and System-on-Chip Design using Arm technology.

As a blogger, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing experts in fields like cybersecurity, System-on-Chip design, IoT development, Linux OS programming, and digital product development. These experiences have enriched my understanding of cutting-edge topics and helped me craft engaging, insightful content for a professional audience.

Department role and responsibilities

As the EE Communications and Marketing Coordinator, my role is to support the Division through a mix of administrative, marketing, and communications responsibilities. This includes coordinating with office staff, co-investigators, researchers (PDRAs and PhD students), external companies, funding agencies, and other administrative teams within the Department of Engineering and across the University.

I work to promote the Division’s activities by developing branding, maintaining an effective web presence, creating and distributing regular newsletters, and producing key documents such as roadmaps. Additionally, I assist in organising both internal and external events, including roadmapping workshops and management meetings, to ensure the Division’s work is effectively communicated and celebrated.
