Dr. Yaw Ansong Snr is interested in the development of soft bioelectronic neural interfaces to promote neural regeneration following spinal cord injury. His research focuses on engineering thick-film conducting polymer electrodes that safely deliver therapeutic electric fields across macroscale distances.
Biography
Dr. Yaw Ansong Snr is a GMC-licensed medical doctor, neurotechnology researcher, and entrepreneur. His research focuses on the development of thick-film conducting polymer electrodes for the safe delivery of therapeutic electric fields in spinal cord injury repair in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He holds an MSc in Bioengineering (Neurotechnology) from Imperial College London, where he built soft robotic devices, and received his medical degree from the University of Cape Coast.
