Professor Gehan Amaratunga was a distinguished speaker at the Yunnan Science Forum, China. The title of his talk was 'Nanotechnologies for Energy'.

Nanotechnologies open up new horizons for energy generation and storage, the technically simplest approaches with tangible gains are the ones most likely to be adopted in the short term.

The Yunnan Science Forum has been successfully held for five years with a total of 39 sessions and over 20,000 people attending with speeches given by experts who are influential academics on the world stage. Scientists spread cutting-edge knowledge and scientific philosophy. The forum has become an influential platform for lectures and foreign exchange in science and technology and is a driving force to build an innovation-oriented Yunnan Province in China.
