My group studies machine learning and artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on Bayesian inference and the conceptual and mathematical understanding of neural networks.

Biography

Hong Ge obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2016 and subsequently completed a postdoctoral position as a Junior Research Fellow at Darwin College. He is now a Research Professor in the Machine Learning Group at the Department of Engineering, a Research Lead at the Alan Turing Institute, and a Fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge. He created the Turing probabilistic programming language, which is widely used in research on computational statistics and machine learning.
