Research interests
The human nervous system is the most sophisticated information-processing system we know, yet we still understand remarkably little about the principles that govern how it computes, learns and adapts.
My research combines engineering, computer science and neuroscience to uncover these principles and translate them into next-generation neurotechnologies. At NOX – Neural Computation & Neurotechnology Lab, we develop computational models, machine learning methods, experimental tools and wearable technologies to study neural computation across the peripheral and central nervous systems, with applications ranging from pain and somatosensation to neurological disorders.
Our work is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together engineering, artificial intelligence, mathematics and neuroscience to answer fundamental scientific questions while developing technologies with real clinical impact
