Research interests

Niccolò's research focuses on developing a framework for design optimisation of Locally Resonant Acoustic Metamaterials under uncertainties.

He works under the supervision of Dr Alice Cicirello and is a member of the DVU Group. He is also part of the Dynamics and Vibrations Research Group.

Biography

Niccolò obtained is MEng in Mechanical Engineering from University College London (UCL) where he was awarded a nominataion in the Dean's List for outstanding academic performance.

He joined the University of Cambridge as a PhD student in October 2024, with funding from the Cambridge International Scholarship awarded by the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust.

Outside of academia, he enjoys teaching skiing in the Italian Dolomites, rowing and golf.
